We are searching for an Emergency Management Specialist to join our team for a term position ending on March 31, 2025. This is an opportunity to embark on an exciting journey with the Northern BC Tourism Association, a not-for-profit economic development organization with a mission to facilitate and steward the development of a strong tourism industry in Northern BC that is integral to the regional way of life. Our approach is comprehensive and grounded in the four pillars of market awareness, destination stewardship, industry development and organizational excellence.
We are searching for a member to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping emergency management plans and engaging with community leaders to build an understanding and consensus of the critical role of being prepared for, and responding to, emergencies.
Overview of the Position:
Reporting to the CEO, the team member will be responsible for the emergency management plan for the Northern BC Region. They will engage with levels of government, rights holders, stakeholders, community leaders, and partners to ensure that emergency management plans are aligned and supportive. This role will also support the advancement of the Northern BC Tourism Association as an economic development organization for the tourism sector in the region. Job Type: Full-time, term ending March 31, 2025
Wage: $30-33 per hour, 37.5 hours per week
Work Location: Remote role, based in the Northern BC Region
