Northern BC Tourism Association is excited to announce Lori Slater has come on board as the Access & Inclusion Team Member. This position has been made possible through the Neil Squire Society’s Working Together with Employers and Enhancing Employment Program (WTEEE) and a partnership with Spinal Cord Injury BC.
Lori will be conducting audits of Northern BC campgrounds and Northeastern BC Businesses. The outreach includes reviewing the Accessibility Checklist to gauge the current status and if a site visit is required in the future.
Lori is well known for community development and sport tourism. She has advocated for over 15 years for access and inclusion across Northern BC. She regularly does consulting related to accessibility and inclusion as well as performs accessibility audits for outdoor spaces and businesses. Lori is excited to be part of the NBCTA team and looks forward to working with all stakeholders.
