Northern BC Tourism received $200,000 in catalyst funding to support strategic planning and destination development in rural communities across our tourism region. This funding is part of $1 million announced by the Province in late 2019 to support rural communities impacted by mill closures across the province.
Catalyst Projects
13 projects were funded across Northern BC under the provincial catalyst funding, which was a fund established to mitigate the social and economic impacts of the 2019 mill closures on rural communities through strategic investment in tourism and the implementation of the Northern BC Destination Development Strategies.
