Plan Your Trip

Building a Sustainability Roadmap Workshop

Join Northern BC Tourism Association and the GreenStep sustainability team for this interactive workshop introducing businesses and organizations to an easy to follow sustainability framework. This session on sustainability action planning, will guide businesses through a simple process including:

  • broadening your understanding of sustainability terms and definitions
  • how to measure your baseline using global best practices for sustainable tourism
  • how to select goal areas and associated actions to help you to improve your performance over time, benefitting both the planet and your bottom line.

Introducing a sustainability strategy, as a part of your regular operations and reporting, will help to build resiliency, competitiveness, and improved cost savings. Attendees will leave the session with a process that can be implemented immediately, as well as a detailed action planning guidebook from which to implement their learnings.

Following the session, participants will be invited to book a 1-hr, 1:1 call with the GreenStep team, to review their individual action plans, ask questions, and receive guidance on best practices for implementation. These action plans will qualify as mandatory criteria for the BC Tourism Climate Resiliency Initiative Micro-Grant program, provided they are reviewed with the GreenStep team.

Sustainability doesn't have to be overwhelming - join us to understand how small steps can create momentum to the future of the sector.
